Vote May 5

VOTE MAY 5

Tuesday, May 5. Have Your Plan.

The Republican primary in IN-01 is decided by the people who actually show up. Northwest Indiana primary turnout is small — somewhere between eighteen and thirty thousand ballots across the entire district. That means your vote, and the vote of two neighbors, can swing this race.

Polls open 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, May 5. Early voting is open right now at your county election board. It takes about ten minutes.

You don't have to wait until Tuesday. Every county in IN-01 has early voting at the county election board office. Different days, different hours — but they're all open this week.

Lake County — Lake County Government Center, Crown Point. Plus satellite locations in Hammond, East Chicago, and Gary. Hours and addresses at the Lake County Election Board page.

LaPorte County — LaPorte County Complex, La Porte. Hours at the LaPorte County Election Board page.

Hours and locations confirmed by the county. Verify before you go.

What to bring to the polls.

Indiana requires a photo ID to vote in person. The simplest options are:

  • An Indiana driver's license or state-issued ID (current or expired up to the most recent general election).
  • A U.S. passport.
  • A military ID.
  • A government-issued photo ID with your name, photo, and an expiration date.

Don't have one of these? Indiana provides a free state ID at any BMV branch. Show up early enough to handle that this week.

Bring one Republican voter with you.

If everyone reading this brings one Republican neighbor to vote, we win. That is the math.

Twenty-five dollars pays for gas to drive five voters to the polls on May 5. That's not a slogan. That's the math of how this campaign wins.
