PRIVACY NOTICE
What we collect, how we use it, your choices.
This is the Schenke for Congress campaign privacy notice. It tells you what information we collect, why we collect it, what we do with it, and what your choices are. We aim to be clear. If anything here is not, email us and we will make it clearer.
Who we are.
Schenke for Congress is the principal campaign committee for Jim Schenke, candidate for the United States House of Representatives in Indiana's 1st Congressional District. We are a federal political committee registered with the Federal Election Commission.
What we collect.
When you sign up for emails, text messages, volunteer shifts, ride requests, or to donate, we ask for the information we need to deliver what you signed up for — generally name, email, phone, address, and zip. When you donate, federal law requires us to collect occupation and employer for any contributor giving more than $200 per election cycle.
How we use it.
We use the information you give us to run the campaign — to send you updates, to plug volunteers into shifts, to coordinate rides to the polls, to remind you to vote, to ask for support, and to comply with federal campaign-finance disclosure law.
What we do not do.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent your information. We do not trade your information. The only people outside Schenke for Congress who may see your information are vendors hired by the campaign to perform specific functions — for example, our donation processor, our text-message vendor, or our email platform. Those vendors are bound by their own confidentiality terms.
Federal disclosure.
Federal campaign-finance law requires us to publicly report the name, address, occupation, and employer of donors who give more than $200 per election cycle. That information becomes part of the public record at fec.gov.
Cookies and analytics.
Like most websites, ours uses cookies and standard analytics tools to understand traffic patterns and improve the site.
Your choices.
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. You can stop our text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. To delete your information from our records, email us and we will handle it.
Children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.
